Real estate has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a blue-collar family in South Carolina, where weekends often meant crawling through attics or under houses alongside my Dad, who worked in HVAC repair. From an early age, I learned the value of hard work, problem solving, and taking pride in doing things the right way — lessons that still shape how I handle situations and people today.
Years later, while serving in the Army, I purchased my first home after attending a real estate seminar. Like many first-time buyers, I didn’t have unlimited resources, so I moved into the property and began improving it myself — painting, updating systems, and even replacing the HVAC unit. When I eventually moved out and turned the home into a rental, something clicked. I realized I genuinely loved real estate — not just as an investment, but as a way to create safe, well-maintained homes for others. After nearly a decade of military service and multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, I transitioned into a career as a Software Engineer. Throughout those years, I continued investing, renovating, and studying real estate. But the deeper I became involved in the industry, the more I noticed something that
didn’t sit right with me.
Too often, property owners were navigating confusing processes, unclear terminology, and transactions that lacked transparency. In some cases, sellers felt pressured, uncertain, or unaware of the full range of options available to them. I knew there had to be a better way. Rather than approaching property owners with a single solution, our goal is to offer clear, transparent options and help people choose the path that best fits their situation. Today, WeBuyLand.com reflects both my professional background and personal values — analytical thinking, straightforward communication, and a commitment to treating people with respect. Outside of real estate, my wife and I are raising our three children on a 25-acre farm, where we spend our time fishing, farming, and enjoying a quieter life
centered around family. That same long-term mindset — stability, care, and doing right by people — carries directly into how we operate our business. For us, this isn’t just about properties. It’s about helping people move confidently into their next chapter.
Meet The Team

Michael Zak
Michael Zak is a real estate acquisition executive with over 20 years of experience specializing in residential land and single-family investment strategy across Florida. He has sourced, underwritten, and executed more than $500 million in transactions, evaluating over 10,000 lots and working alongside Fortune 500 homebuilders and institutional capital groups including Cerberus Capital and Ark Homes.
He began his career managing large-scale FEMA-funded demolition efforts following Hurricane Katrina, overseeing more than 2,500 claims across Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. This early operational experience provided a foundation in execution, cost control, and large-scale project management that continues to inform his approach to real estate acquisitions today.
He later became a partner and Vice President at a large privately held Landholding Company, where he led a high-volume land acquisition platform spanning fourteen Florida counties and supporting approximately 3,000 annual lot closings. In this role, Mike worked directly with senior leadership at national and regional builders including D.R. Horton, Lennar, Holiday Builders, Wade Jurney Homes, and Maronda Homes, sourcing and structuring residential land opportunities at scale.
In 2017, Mike co-founded a Realty & Development Group, where he currently leads land acquisition strategy for builder and institutional clients. He focuses on sourcing on- and off-market opportunities, financial underwriting, contract structuring, and full-cycle execution from acquisition through development. In parallel, he serves in a leadership role with a Home Builder, overseeing acquisition, budgeting, and asset management for residential development projects.
Mike’s combined background in acquisitions, construction, and institutional capital allows him to identify value, mitigate risk, and structure complex transactions in both stabilized and distressed environments.

Jay Lozano
Jasiel “Jay” Lozano is a seasoned real estate professional based in Fort Myers, with over two decades of industry experience, he has been actively buying land since 2002.
Jay specializes in the acquisition of residential and commercial land. He has successfully facilitated thousands of transactions and has directly acquired and disposed of more than 75 million in properties, demonstrating deep market knowledge.
Known for his strategic approach and entrepreneurial mindset, Jay combines his expertise with hands-on investment experience, allowing him to provide clients with fair offers and quick closing time frames on their properties
